Forage Variety Trials in Tennessee

WAG Trial

The importance of variety testing is to record yield potential, cold and heat tolerance, disease resistance, stand persistence, and grazing tolerance. Evaluations are to aid producers in the selection of the best cultivars for their farm.

The data conducted in our variety testing program uses plot design, experimental techniques, and specific management practices specific to each forage.
